Prisoner Zero

The eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith, was my favorite Doctor, and that wasn't just because his bow tie was cool. Matt had some devious villains that were specific to his time as the Doctor. Prisoner Zero was Matt Smith's first encounter after his regeneration.

Prisoner Zero is a very dangerous creature who escaped the police race the Atraxi,  using a crack in time and space. After escaping the Atraxi, Prisoner Zero hides out in a house that a young Amy Pond lives in.

The creature hides on Earth using shape shifting as a disguise. The creature makes a mental connection with the people, or animals that it shapes into. Once they have a connection, the original person or animal, goes into a comma.

Along with it's shape shifting ability, it can create perception filters. Due to this, Prisoner Zero was able to create a perception filter around the room it was living in. Prisoner Zero lived in Amy's house for twelve years before the Doctor was able to sort it all out. Amy hears the Atraxi say "Prisoner Zero has escaped" over and over again as she grows up.

When Matt shows up, he points out the door that Amy had never seen before, and that's when she sees Prisoner Zero for the first time. The creature has a snake like body, with razor sharp teeth and yellow eyes.

Prisoner Zero's Natural Form

The Atraxi use sophisticated technology to search Earth for Prisoner Zero, they are able to pick up anything alien. Since the prisoner can change into humans, the Doctor tries to help the Atraxi capture the creature.

The Doctor uses Rory William's phone to create a virus that sets all clocks to 00:00. By the time the Doctor finds Prisoner Zero, the Atraxi trace Rory's phone and find Prisoner Zero in its natural form.

I chose to talk about Prisoner Zero because he truly was a scary villain, who was quite the match for the Doctor.
